Does the dedicated space only pretain to equipment other than electrical cables and conduit or does other foreign systems include cable and conduit from other systems?
 
110.26 (F) (1) states that no piping, ducts, leak protection apparatus, or other equipment foreign to the electrical installation shall be located in this zone. If the equipment is foreign to your installation than it is in violation. Example could be phone equipment, fire alarm equipment and piping etc. Welcome to the forum.
 
110 26 F (1) Excption B Shall be permitted to contain foreign systems provided, provided protection is installed to avoid damage to the electrical equipment from condensation, leaks, or breaks in such foreign system.
So Sprinkler and water pipes and suspended ceilings are allowed
