In Article 334 in uses permitted NM can be exposed on the surface in one and two family dwellings but other structures the cable needs to be concealed in walls,floors,or ceilings that have at least a 15 minute finish of fire rated assemblies. Does 334.10(3) also refers to 334.10(1). I would think that the part that says " Cables shall be ......etc would be in a paragraph under 334(1),334(2), and 334(3) if it referred to all three.
