Clarification on open delta voltage transformer CHARACTERISTICS

Need a clarification on the characteristic of open delta voltage transformer and effect on characteristic in a relay setting (eg. Distance relay)
any one can answer???

For a short technical question, being concise is a necessity. I've never heard of a "Distance relay"...

Can you be more specific... or at the very least, elaborate?

There are a tremndous amount of variables, and you will likely not get a definitive answer in a forum environment.

Standard protective device, sometimes refered to as a 21 relay.

Not usually related to a transformer so I don;t really get the question either.

He is probably talking about the PTs, but I'm not clear on the question either.

pdshakeel: You need to be sure the distance relay is designed to handle delta-connected PTs or you might lose functionality. The "wrong" relay may need phase-to-ground voltages plus it may not read ground faults correctly.
