when placing a SSR in a class 1 div 1 jb is a divider required between the 24 vac control voltage and the 120/240 line voltage.

Possibly - if the 24V side is a limited energy circuit.

You would also need to do if it was part of an IS circuit (not likely if it is 24VAC).

Bob, Thanks for the responce, Have been away for a while. The situation is for a heater control relay for a class 1 div 1 area, where the relay would actuall be in a div 2 location.
