Hey guys, wiring an LP dispenser, I don't do much hazardous location stuff, maybe once a year. Anyway, I ran a 12/2 uf underground, stubbed a piece of IMC into the ground and up to a junction box within the Class 1 Div 1 area.
Had it inspected, I forgot to put a seal off in when I came out of the ground, my bad just didn't think about it. Other issue was inspector is saying I need to have at least 10' of rigid steel in the ground. That one was new to me, so I just said ok I'll get it done.
I'm trying to find that code and can't find it. I find where it says I need to have a seal off within 10' of emerging out of the ground, 514.8, but I'm kind of stumped on this 10' of pipe minimum in the ground.
He didn't leave me a code reference, so I thought maybe before I called and bugged him in the morning you guys could set me straight.
