Our contractor has installed NEMA 4X junction boxes that will be used for pull boxes in a Class 1, Div 2 area. Per 500.7(A), I interpret an explosion-proof apparatus has to be used. The contractor disagrees saying 4X with Myers hubs will suffice.

Any thoughts?
