Class 1 Division 1 and Class 1 Division 2 electrical requirements

Hello,
Would anyone know a good source for a summary of electrical requirements for C1D1 and C1D2 electrical installations (NEC section 500). I will thoroughly review the full section later, but have a couple of develop a quick understanding of this section. If anyone can help, I greatly appreciate it.

Actually the installation rules for a Class I area are found in Article 501. Both Crouse Hinds and Appleton have classified area installation guides, but there are more pages in the guides than in the actual code article. Part of that is because both guides cover articles 500 through 516. To start with look at the information in the guides for Article 500, and remember that they sell products and there may be more cost effective methods that are code compliant than what you find in the installation guides.
