Class 1 Division 2 TVSS unit.

Anybody know of a TVSS unit that can be used in a class 1 division 2 area? Either listed for that area, or carrying the nonincendive tag. Preferably DIN rail mount option, but at this point, I'll take what I can get.

See Section 501.35(B). Virtually nothing is listed for Division 2, but plenty of general purpose equipment is suitable for Division 2. [See 500.8(C)(6)(a)] BTW never look for nonincendive products for anything but instrumentation applications.

Take your pick, almost all TVSS use sealed MOV technology - just make sure it is.

That's the problem I'm having. Finding one that fits the 35mm DIN rail that explicitly says that it is sealed. I need to make a case for it and need that one little word to show that it complies.

It's the MOV that is "sealed." Ask your favorite, DIN mounted TVSS supplier for the MOV specs.
