Class 2 & 3 Survivability for power supplies

Trying to clarify that the remote components such as power supplies and amplifiers need to be contained within a 2-hour rated enclosure (room/closet)? We have a high-rise storage facility that will have full EVAC and stairwell pressurization/smoke control. There are 2-hour shafts vertically in the building but no stacked electrical rooms. Would you recommend that a 2-hour closet be built?

This seems outside the scope of the electrical code, and I think the equipment being Class 2 or 3 is irrelevant. For sure the NEC articles on Class 2 and 3 circuits don't address this sort of question. Such power supplies will not typically have fire ratings of their own either, if that's what you're asking.

I think you would need to look at the code or job spec that governs the emergency systems that are being installed. If the systems are supposed to stay protected from fire in other parts of the building for 2-hours then the answers to your questions will be affirmative. If you need to provide dedicated fire protection to this equipment you may be able to do that either with fire rated electrical enclosures or with building construction.
