I have run across an installation at a wheat grain elevator where Tray cable TC has been used for the Watch Dog Monitoring System wiring method. I don't see where TC is identified for use in this location. The probe inputs operate on 24 VDC. Could this be acceptable?

What if it's intrinsically safe wiring and equipment?
If a system doesn’t meet all the requirements of Article 504 including ANSI/ISA RP 12.06.01, it isn’t intrinsically safe. I know ANSI/ISA RP 12.06.01 is only referenced in FPN/INs, but the equipment won’t be listed otherwise. [See 504.4]

To be blunt, there are so many auxiliary requirements in Article 504 and ANSI/ISA RP 12.06.01 that people usually know if a system is intrinsically safe.

I just answered the question asked, I could have speculated on much more than intrinsically safe systems.
