When talking wiring methods those are not NEC terms that I am aware of. Maybe you are asking something else?

I think your talking about fire alarm sytems. You will find a discription of class circuits at this nfpa site http://www.nfpa.org/aboutthecodes/list_of_codes_and_standards.asp. Look up 12.3.1 to 12.3.6
