I don't know if you can help me with this but I'd certainly apprieciate it if you can. In the NFPA 72 section 6.4.2.2.2 it states that all outgoing and return circuits shall be installed in separate conduits. Exception #3 states that if you are in a room not exceeding 1000' squared you can install outgoing and return circuits for multiple devices in a single conduit. My question is if the control unit is installed in a room smaller than 1000' square do i have to maintain the 1' vertical and 4' horizontal separation for outgoing and return conduits? Please advise and thank you for your time.
