I have an AHJ that wants a Class A on a data sheet for Panasonic, Now Tesla SC330 Modules. The sheet says UL 1703 Type 2. I was under the impression that everything in 1703 was Class A, but I guess not.

Is Type 2 = Class B?
Is Type 1 = Class A?

My goal is to show that these modules are Class A...crossing fingers.

Data Sheet Attached.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

It is the racking system in combination with the module that has a class fire rating. You need to look at your racking certification documentation, and find where it says that the system is Class A rated when you use Type 2 modules. Submit both docs in combination to the AHJ.

Thanks, I was so busy trying to "Get me a module data sheet that says Class A on it" that I forgot about that. It's been years since this has come up.
