I am bidding a job for a new science building at a local university. Rather than doing any engineering, the drawings just say to "All wiring and equipment must meet the requirements in articles 500 through 504 of the CEC for Class I Division 2 Group D". I know about the rigid conduit and seal-offs, but do all my receptacles need to be explosion proof, or can I avoid this by installing them above or below a certain height? If it helps, I am in CA and these are chemical storage rooms. Thanks.
