classification of generator building

when installing electrical devices(lighting, electrical panels etc..) in an enclosure or small building housing 2- 125kva diesel generators, does the electrical equipment need to be designed for classifed area. the generators will have day tanks built on to them.
 
Diesel generator areas are seldom classified. Doesn't make sense to classify all the elelctrical equipment to prevent ignition from arcing or high temperature when the engine components are just as hot.

Also, diesel fuel is usually not classifed. It is usually not an explosive mixture like propane, gasoline or natural gas.

If the engines run on propane or natural gas, there may be a need to classify.

Fuel, lube oil, don't require you to classify.
