There's a greater range of lighting equipment for non classified and classified areas; plain 'ole light fixtures you'd see in a commercial setting, stuff that's good in class II, div II, then the class 1 stuff.
When it comes to switches controlling those fixtures, my guess is that the mfgs don't want/need 3-4 different switches to accmodate a semi-wide range of applications. I run into folks "commenting" about having EP stuff specified even though it may be a class II, div II space.
Do you folks simply tell clients that the available products suit a wide range of applications and not the opposite i.e. different materials for each and every classification???
