Does anyone where standards for electrical work in clean rooms is defined. Specifically, I'm looking at a Class 1000 and Class 15000 space. The rooms are not hazardous rated. I want to know if I can put ordinary receptacles in these rooms or if I need to have all receptacles outside the room with cables running from the clean space into the unclean area where the receptacles would all be?

Thanks,

Mike

is there wash down requirements?
I've always seen them in the rooms

the biggest issue I've seen is leakage of pressurization, the boxes should be sealed

the ISPE may have standards

I don't know of any published standards. It all depends on what is in the room and the construction. Most of the cleanrooms that we have done are CMU block with epoxy paint, and the devices are flush in the block. We use weatherproof covers to help with the air leakage.
