We use to use roofing tar in one gallon buckets, I swear you open the bucket and that stuff would jump on you.

:D :D It seems like every commercial building that I have been on the roof has an open bucket of that stuff up there, no one wants to carry it around once it gets opened. Most times I haven't needed to go get any because I could use what is already there. It is like stepping in dog poo, you just can't seem to avoid it.

Straight laundry detg. apply directly to stain, scratch in with finger nail and wash. I work on grease laden draw bridges and this gets all the stains out.

Wow, didnt think it would be that easy. i always saw grease/oil from the conduit being the tuffest stains, (next to blood and apple juice)
From tide's website:
Official Tide Solution for:
Grease/Oil, Motor Stain on Cotton
Colored, Printed or has Color Trim
Before treating any garment, always first refer to the instructions on the care label.
1) Always make sure you protect colored items by pretesting the effects of stain removal techniques on a hidden area of the garment.
2) Use a spot remover or take the item to a professional dry cleaner for treatment.
3) Pretreat using Tide? Liquid.
4) Wash in warm water with 1 use of Tide?.
5) Air dry. Repeat the procedure, if necessary.

I gotta check that more often!...I never thought I would say that.
