Who regulates the clearance between high voltage lines and light poles?

I've got an industrial site where I'm installing some 40' light poles "near" some high voltage lines that run across the property. I'm trying to determine what clearance I need, i.e., how far from the power lines they need to be. Googling around, I found some OSHA information, but I'm not sure if that's what dictates the minimum clearance requirements. Any thoughts?

P.S. At this point I'm still trying to determine the voltage and elevation of the high voltage lines.

If the lines are POCO lines, I would start with their rules. They are responsible for safety under NESC guidelines and own a right of way easement for their infrastructure.

I think that's what I'm going to end up doing. Thanks.

Agree with ask the POCO. Duke is moving their lines due to a road widening project at one of our sites, which meant they were too close to our parking lot poles. At least we get paid to move them.

You've gotten all good answers so far. I'll add this: in Louisiana, there is a statute called the Overhead Power Line Safety Act. The short version is that no one can get within ten feet of a utility's overhead distribution line (our lines were either 13.2 kv or 34.5 kv phase to phase). Depending on the particulars, the NESC horizontal clearance is often 7.5 feet. But we always cited the OPLSA to get the full ten feet. Most states have something similar.
