I have a residential installation project where the HVAC condenser would need to be installed next to an above ground storage tank, and the incoming overhead service is in this area as well. I have checked NFPA 30 and NEC regarding classified spaces and fuel oil, but haven't ferreted out any solid clearance information, other that ignition sources should be kept away, and that this may, or may not, be a classified location. Can someone shed some light on overhead and horizontal clearances?
