Diesel does not constitute a Hazardous location.

The flash point of Diesel, according to the NFPA is greater than 62C or 143F. In a maintenance/repair situation in some unusually intense desert or industrial setting where the temps would sometimes be greater than this flash point, 500.5 (1) (2) would classify this as a Class 1 Division 1 situation.

Is this a true statement?

Where can I get information on the restrictions for class rating, in this case NFPA lllB for diesel from? Is there a public access to all NFPA literature or do you have to buy it?
