There are many options including recessed cans. All incandescents must have a totally enclosed lens but you do need to follow the rules of 410.8 in the 2005. 410.16 in 2008

Not in California. High Efficacy only in closets around here. I mention this only because I don't see a location in the OP.

Good point. I was assuming clothes closet as well.
