Are there any special requirements for an underground storage area for golf carts and recharging of golf carts?

The ventilation system is an important concern.
Check with the local fire marshall.

Without question and beyond doubt, the area must be classified by your AHJ. Usually the Fire Marshall. This will in turn mandate the type of electrical installation.
