Good morning all,
Can someone tell me where in the code book to find the applicable section that explains: When running the cable in a ceiling, how far apart can the j-hooks or other supporting devices be placed. I understand how the structure must be supported just not the spacing. I know this sounds simple but I can't find it anywhere.
Thanks in advance

Re: CMP Cat 5E Cable Support

You can't find it because the NEC has nothing to do with the issue. Place your supports close enough together so that the cable bundle doesn't sag excessively or get into trouble. Put some tension on the bundle and keep it with a few lightly tightened ty-raps or tie wire or you will have to have supports every 2 feet.
