CMU Wall

You can stub out above the suspended ceiling for the ares that have such a ceiling. You cannot get out at the top of that wall.

no suspended ceiling on this job, all exposed slab. Also, they don't want any surface mounted receptacles. They want all concealed. Was told at one time conduit can be run horizontally within cmu wall. Think Infinity mentioned that a while ago. They would have to use special CMU blocks, correct. Would install be more difficult?

No special CMU blocks...the brickies just use their hammers to knock notches in the bottom of the block. They will want you to run the conduit at the mortar joint. The box would be at the top or bottom of a block, and a small offset to get up or down to the mortar joint.

Where would you exit the wall? Can you run your feed under the floor slab?

Why do they need a recept near the ceiling?
Anyhow, its a common setup. Avoiding the cells with rebar is all the info your electrician needs to get from the details.
