I'm working on a CMU building that will have precast concrete panels on the exterior. I installed short FMC whips from the ends of my EMT to stub out of the block. I figured this would allow some play for the box openings in the precast as they're set. The architects are now considering the space between the exterior of the block and the precast to be a wet or damp location. (I don't agree.) Is there any kind of spray or paint coating that I could put on the flex? I know there's the as-seen-on-TV Flex Seal and other similar brands, but wondered if there's a more electrical industry type of product. The closest I've found is from Ocal, but it seems to be just to touch-up other Ocal coated products.
Thanks in advance,

you can use parking deck mc cable, it’s pvc coated for wet locations. Your flex seal, etc is that allowed by the NEC mc cable article (no code book handy)

My problem is that the block is already finished around these stub outs. I can't get to the EMT-flex coupling anymore. I was hoping for a quality coating that I could apply to the flex.

IMNSHO.
If it really is a wet location the only correct answer is to replace it.

How did you come to select FMC in the first place? Was it spec'd for this particular location?

I think either the architect is going to have to decide to accept what you did or someone will have to pay to fix it.

Nothing was specified in these particular locations. I just was afraid to stub out pipe and not have it line up with openings in the precast. As the precast will be caulked, etc., I did not consider this gap to be a wet location so I used flex.
