I just inspected a house the other day where in the basement the electrician had stapled all of the electrical to the rafters above. The basement is low-lying with clearance of no more then 7 feet. I had thought the electrical should have been drilled through the rafters instead of stapled. The electrician is sighting code 334.30. Is this correct or does low lying areas need to be drilled through?
