article 370 does not apply to weatherheads but it is used to approve them in wet locations. the reason they use, the opening in the weatherhead faces down, should also apply to set screw connectors yet they require them to be listed for use in wet locations. This to me is in conflict of article 90. Why are they allowed to give special permission when they claim its up to the inspector?

Re: code book

I am sorry but I don't understand your question. Are you talking about a service head for a 200 ampere service or for cablebus?

Re: code book

A set crew conn. installed w/ the 1/2 inch male threads up would not allow water to enter the conduit. However the conn. will not exclude water in any orientation.

A service head is intended (I think) to only be installed vertically, though I have seen some installed horizontally. It is also designed as an outdoor fitting.
