2 years ago I bought an ultimate code book. It is the binder type.
It has 5 rings.
I have found that it is very hard to get around in it because the pages do not flow smoothly when turning.
The pages rip very easily. Also the the pages kinda swag down instead of being straight like in a normal book making it hard to see the tabs if that makes any sense.

Has anyone had problems with these types of code books?
Has anyone used the one that Mike Holt's sells? Do the pages rip out of those as well??

I have a 1999 edition of the Code with loose-leaf rings, but it has 7 rings in it. :D

I kept it in the office for reference material. I could take a page out, and photocopy a section, put it back in, etc.

My work copy of the Code is a spiral-bound copy, which will open and lay flat on any page.

I've not had any problems with any pages ripping, falling out, etc. with either type.
