I tried to mark what's happening in this situation. We have 2 GFCI outlets by this sink. Designer now wants a wall at the end of the cabinet where I drew those 2 black lines. My question is can we eliminate the GFCI on the RIGHT side so as to not open up this finished wall or do we need this GFCI outlet by code to now be on the new wall ? Also I think you can catch a glimpse at the corner of the photo we additionally already have a outlet by the baseboard afci protected

Looking at it from a NEC, not NYC, standpoint. Is the distance from the proposed wall to the receptacle to the left greater than 24" ??
