Ok..... I'm lax on my updates
Are single receptacles required for dish and pig under a sink?

And is there a 2017 change that says a fixed appliance (microwave) can only be 50% of the load?
Or 2 appliances (micro and gas range plug) can't share a cir?

I may have an issue ?

I may have an issue
210.23 (A) and (B) have existed (in one way or another) for a long time:

(1) Cord-and-Plug-Connected Equipment Not Fastened in Place.
The rating of any one cord-and-plug-connected utilization equipment not fastened in place shall not exceed 80 percent of the branch-circuit ampere rating.

(2) Utilization Equipment Fastened in Place.
The total rating of utilization equipment fastened in place, other than luminaires, shall not exceed 50 percent of the branch-circuit ampere rating where lighting units, cord-and-plugconnected utilization equipment not fastened in place, or both, are also supplied.

Dishwasher and disposer are normally fastened in place. If you put in a single duplex on a 20 amp branch circuit - you are supplying two fastened in place items, and have no other outlets - the 50% rule shouldn't even apply if no other outlets are supplied. If you had lighting or a third utilization equipment not fastened in place then the 50% rule would kick in.

I did not look to see if it remained as is for 2017, but has been that way for as long as I can remember, code section could have changed in the past but the rule hasn't really changed any.

Dish and disopal are 2 separate 15 amp cir.... with each having a duplex rec....

I just had another inspector on a rough flag me for a 15 amp micro saying the 2017 says it can't exceed 50% and that 2 fixed corded appliances can't share a cir 2017....

I have a final in 4 units tomorrow ... nothing was brought up during the rough on this job about it but in just concerned

I had code section slightly wrong before should have said 210.23(A) (1) and (2) instead of (A) and (B). But I checked 2017 and it is still the same.

(1) shouldn't apply to typical dishwasher or disposal as they are ordinarily fastened in place. It could apply to a microwave that has dedicated shelf for it but is otherwise not fastened in place. A microwave/range hood is ordinarily fastened in place and it doesn't apply to that either.

(2) only applies if you are supplying lighting or other not fastened in place utilization equipment. Doesn't say anything about how much you can load the circuit otherwise. I have put DW and Disp on single 20 amp circuit for many years and never have had problems with circuit overload or with inspector approval. Most never have a rating over 10 amps for that matter either.
