CODE RULE ON BURYING

Am helping with a spec and don't have code here. Would appreciate input on the rules for burying 120V.
1. What is required depth if using 3 wires in conduit?
2. What is required depth if direct burying UF cable (conduit at each end where cable emerges from ground).

If you are writing an owner's specification for construction or design, suggest you reference the latest revision of the NEC. Minimum cover is table 300.5. If utility feeders, need to check with them. If more than this, suggest getting a code book.

nvcape, great answer, there are too many situations that would need to be addressed in 300.5 to list them all here.
