Code Section prohibiting cord and plug connection of emergency circuits

I am having hard time finding the code section prohibiting cord and plug connection of emergency egress lighting.

If someone can point me in the correct direction I will greatly appreciate it.

I can see 700.10 (C) being used to disallow cord and plug. IMO, it would not be a good idea and you could not insure that the lights would not get unplugged.
