I was on a job the other day and saw something I have seen a few times before. There is a 208 3 phase compressor with a starter that runs off a pressure switch. The conduit from the panel has the three motor leads and a white #10. White goes to the coil and they tapped off A phase with a #10 that goes through the pressure switch to start the compressor. It seemed to me that it was wrong but I couldn't prove it. Thanks for any comments.

I don't see anything wrong with it assuming properly sized conductors and over current protection.
