Cold Water Pipe Grounding

Is there any size requirement for water pipe to connect Service GEC.
let's say a 1200A OCD requires #3/0 Cu Ground Electrod conductor based on largest service conductors.what size water pipe is adequate (3/4",1".2"........).or size dosn't matter.

The code doesn't specify, but generally if you have a very large service, you will also have an accordingly large water line. If there's a seperate line coming in to feed the sprinkler system, that one is usually larger than the regular water line. I remember having to order a water bond clamp to connect 4/0 onto a 1/2" copper line once upon a time. They make whatever fitting you need, but the bigger gauge one's are usually for bigger pipe.
