Color code identification for emergency system

Does code require equipment, boxes, etc of emergency system, standby emergency system, fire alarm systems to have red nameplate / cover?
 
A co-worker asked me a similar question yesterday, so I have just recently looked up that code article. No it doesn't have to be red. Or at least, the NEC does not require red. I can't speak for building codes or special hospital codes. Reference (for the receptacle) is 517.30(E).
