I am not an Electrician, so I need some help drawing a 120 volt circuit. I am trying to find the correct way to designate the white wire (neutral) on a colored drawing since a white line will not show up on white paper. Right now, I have substitued a thick black line for the white line and labeled it as 'WH' and identified it accordingly in the drawing legend; however, I know this isn't standard practice. Does anyone know the correct way to designate a white wire in a colored drawing?

Re: Color Code

WH would be ok as long it was in a legend. Sounds like you do not have much choice! If it were me on a 120v circut I would label it L2. L1 being hot or ungrounded conductor and L2 being the Grounded conductor or( Neutral). Mike P
