Color coding of feeder wires

Hi guys,

Does NEC require that distribution wiring need to follow a color code? If I'm running single conductors, two wires for my lighting circuits, can they be same color(black) from the same roll of cable?

If the two wires are both ungrounded conductors, they can both be black. If one is a neutral, it must be white; 200.6.

If you have more than one voltage system 210.5(C) has some rules to look at. You are supposed to identify each system, and each phase. Color is one way to do it.
