Colorado Jims (CJ6) not approved/listed to secure mc cable?

I have an inspector saying that Colorado Jim's are for supporting and not for securing. So they can be used for the rest of the run but not for within 12" of the box. The installation instructions show it being used within 12" of the box, so I called caddy tech support and they said if it's showed on the instructions than it's used for that. My personal opinion is it is used on lots of caddy prefab products to secure mc within 12", (if you google "f3afsc1" you can see what I mean). I wanted to see what you guys think, been using them for years and never heard of this, but if I'm wrong then I'm wrong. When you pull up the soec sheet the product title is "colorado Jim cable support", which I think is where he is coming from in his defense.

334.30 is pretty loose as to what is required to supporting and securing of NM-B. My experience using them is when properly closed the cable will not slide any easier than a properly stapled cable.

334.30 Securing and Supporting.
Nonmetallic-sheathed cable shall be supported and secured by staples, cable ties listed and identified for securement and support, or straps, hangers, or similar fittings designed and installed so as not to damage the cable, at intervals not exceeding 1.4 m (41⁄2 ft) and within 300 mm (12 in.) of every cable entry into enclosures such as outlet boxes, junction boxes, cabinets, or fittings. The cable length between the cable entry and the closest cable support shall not exceed 450 mm (18 in.). Flat cables shall not be stapled on edge.

Unless the inspector is rejecting CJ-6's all together, he is wrong. MC is required to be secured at intervals not to exceed 6 feet per 330.30.

I believe the inspector is out of bonds on this one. Let him show you where it states that the product is not good where entering a box.
