Combiner Box laying on it's back

I am installing combiner boxes with disconnects on the roof. They are rated NEMA 4X. Is there a code saying that i am not able to lay them on there backs so the switch is facing the sky? The installation manual says I am able to.

No. If the manual says you can lay them down, you can.
