Combing livingroom and bedroom lights on one 15A circuit

Is there a requirement under NEC to have separate circuits for bedroom and livingroom? In a one bedroom highrise apartment (1,000SF), anything in NEC prohibiting livingroom and bedroom receptacles combined on one 15A circuit and lights/smoke detectors on another 15A circuit?

As of the 2014 NEC, there isn't anything in the code that would prevent you from doing that.
