Do I need disconnect next to unit? Panel is outside 25' away.There is no room next to unit, so can we mount locking disconnect outside or use BR.with locking device thanks tph

I think that if it is "motor-driven" of more than 1/8 hp, then the disconnect must be within sight from the motor controller. 422.32 Most of the load is heat, though, don't know how large the motor is.

But if there is a "unit switch" on the DW, you will be ok. 422.32. Excp > 422.34(D).

thanks, but no disconnect on unit, looks like we will put disconnect Raintite on opposite wall. no room by unit or could we go high with disconnect and use a hookhandle? thanks tph
