must i use gfci protection on the outlets ? ( 2011 NEC ) ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Vending machines would be what maybe would kick in the requirement, I don't believe these machines would qualify as a vending machine though.

Other than that location conditions would be the next thing to determine if GFCI is needed. And it would be needed because of the location of the receptacle and not what the receptacle supplies that would require GFCI protection.

See 422.2 and 422.51
For those that didn't look at 2011, that is where definition of a vending machine was back then.

I don't think typical video arcade game fits this definition they do not dispense products or merchandise. If it doesn't pass this definition then 422.51 doesn't apply either.

As I said only other reason to require GFCI protection is because of other conditions and the location of the receptacle - which applies to the receptacle and not what is plugged into it.

Place this game in say an outdoor location - especially with later NEC editions being applicable and the receptacle location is what triggers GFCI requirements not the game itself.
