I'm afraid that I do not understand the question. Is this a brand new building? Will you be doing all the electrical? Do you want a list of all components that must be installed (including for example, ground rods, service disconnects, AFCI and GFCI breakers, required lighting and receptacle outlets, and other required circuits) and a list of all tasks that must be performed (including for example permits and inspections)? That would be a bit much to ask.

Can you clarify your question?

For a commercial occupancy, not much. The design of this electrical systme is at the discrection of you, the tenants, and the building owners.

You don't need to provide much, as Peter said. Your question needs to be narrowed for some proper advice.

Based on OP you will need sign outlet(s) per 600.5.

Emergency lighting and exit sign requirements should be part of construction documents as well as any fire alarm requirements.

Re: Commercial building Shell only

Sorry Charlie, I guess the question was a little vague.
It is a brand new building , Completed the service per NEC . But I'm concerned with the interior since the spaces have yet to be leased, the floor is still Michigan dirt and walls are block. Are we required to provide at least 1 GFI Recpt. and a light over the service panel.for future construction.

peterd -- kinda summed it up, but its the "NOT MUCH" part that bothers me. I'll most likely be back to provide what ever the tenant may need but that could be a year from now. Alot of NEC requirements will be addressed at that time.
Thanks guys, Mike

Re: Commercial building Shell only

Sounds like it's more of a question of what does the local building department require to get a "shell" or "threshold" permit. Different jurisdictions have different requirements. For example, I've seen cities that require exit/egress fixtures, lighting for prospective tenants to look at the space (stumble lighting),etc. On the other hand, I've put in nothing more than a conduit for a future panel in each tenant space.

I'd check with the local building officials.

I designed a shell building once, and the inspector said 10 footcandles of light were required in the unfinished spaces.

I tired to argue the mice would probably rather have it dark. :D
