Noted a change in the NEC '14 to ;17.
'17 appears to have dropped the "in sight from the appliance" in 422.32(C).
If one has a commercial dishwasher with a 3/4HP motor, it is permissible to have a readily accessible lockable breaker in an adjacent room as the sole disconnect ?

That's correct but why are you saying commercial dishwasher and not just dishwasher?

BTW, I think the section is 422.31(C) not 32(C)
