Commercial kitchen plug height

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have a commercial refrigeration unit that is 80" tall. It's a 30 amp unit and the large plug won't allow the unit to be less than roughly 8" from the wall. Can I mount the receptacle above the unit on the wall to allow for proper spacing. Hope my question isn't too vague. Thanks in advance.

If it's a straight plug, you could also change to a 90* (right angle) one for a closer fit to the wall.

If the plug is listed with the unit instead of a "roll your own", it may be a listing violation to change it.
