Re: commercial kitchen

Your inspector should be able to help, call him with the permitt number and ask him for a coutesy inspection.

Yeah, that's a good idea Roger. I hadn't thought of that. You should definitely contact the electrical inspector and the building department. And since this is a cooking facility, I would also contact the health department as well.

Re: commercial kitchen

yes im not an "electrician". the bottom line is the $$$s. i would rather just hire an electrician and ask him when are you going to get the job done. but at the moment im under financial difficulty. (not cheap) im more lazy than cheap.as far as putting someone life in danger??? i am rewiring 14 receptacles. nothing complicated. its much safer now than before. my father hired an "electrician" about 15 years ago. he had 3 receptacles per breaker with 12/2 romex. how is it that im indangering peoples lives with one dedicated breaker for every receptacle??? 20 amp breakers with 12/2 bx wire. i just wanted to know which cable is code. thanks

Re: commercial kitchen

The choice is yours, an "electrician" now, or a "lawyer" later. Lawyers are much more expensive. :(

The rules of this Forum prohibit us from providing ?how to? information to persons not involved in the electrical industry. The reason is that you may get a correct answer to the one question you asked, and not find out about the five other things that you needed to know, but were not aware that you needed to ask.

I am closing this thread.
