How about the NEC, Table 220.3(A) General Lighting Loads by Occupancy.

For an office - Lighting 3.5VA/ft^2

and 180 VA/ duplex receptacle. Hope that helps.

What a great question hbiss, we used to know how many years people where in the trade and what area they come from.

Both of these features where taken away, which I think was a bad move.

It was good to know if I was getting an answer from a first year helper or a 30 year vet.

As for location I live in MA which uses an amended NEC so if I knew a person was asking a question from MA I would be able to help them with the MA version of a particular issue.

The way it is now I can not even change the info on the bottom of my post, the location field was removed from the profile page.

All that said, seeing as this is a free resource, we will have to play by the "house" rules.
