Terminating LV cable
Terminating LV cable
I got a lot of looks but no takers.
So here is the issue.
According to my inspector, a great guy and a stickler for details.
We need to make sure we use a listed termination method for a low voltage well light.
Most LV lights either have a direct burial tail to attach to or have a piece of SO type cord that is sealed as it enters the fixture.
If the cord is not rated for direct burial then I have to use a junction box to terminate the wires.
He even went as far as to say that solder and Weather proof heat shrink is probably not listed as a termination method for the fixture?
I would prefer this to using the King silicone filled wire nuts?
Thoughts?
Thanks.
