120/208 4 w service Feed with 750 MCM XHHW (ALuminum?)
I am on a job they would like to add a additional meter. Commercial blg. About 12000 sq ft 2 floors. It looks originally like it was a single meter and was eventually turned into 5 separate service meters.
The feeders are 750 mcm Alcan XHHW. Aluminum I presume. Attached is the CT cabinet that was originally installed ( that why I assumed it was only one meter at one time). They removed the CT's and Tapped 5 conductor to the Phases. Looks like 3- 3/0 awg + 2- ( # 3's). Under Bugs. Attached it photo.
Now I must Split up one 3/0 -200 amp service into 2 separate meters for second floor. 1 suite may want a 200 amp meter on its own. And the other is only office so 100 can due.
Attached is photo of lugs with wires. Just like some input. I am think of removing lugs and installing 750 mcm insulated lugs with 6 ports. I dont like what I see now. what is limitations on taps per incoming conductors. I know loading is crucial. Right now the Loads were only 50 amps per phase.
Also photo show 3 meters right on top of ct. One more meter goes left from left side of ct and one more goes out the bottom.
Making a total of five. Six switch rule plays. And limited on space.
Cant get a High KW demand due to the Meters not being digital.
